I am strongly encouraging ALL coaches and players — youth, middle school, and high school — to attend. This will be an instructional session where program concepts, philosophy, and drills will be explained that can be implemented throughout all levels of our basketball program. If you plan to coach or play basketball next season, you should make every effort to attend. We are excited to get the summer off to a great start and continue building consistency throughout our program. Shawnee High School sophomore Byanca Dubie was named the Dayton Daily News Athlete of the Week for April 19, earning the honor through reader voting at Dayton Daily News. “It means a lot to me,” Dubie said. “I'm very grateful for everyone that voted for me, especially my family and friends and the team.” The Shawnee Braves Softball team is 17-1 through Thursday’s games and was recently ranked No. 1 in the state in the Ohio High School Softball Coaches Poll released Monday, April 20. It’s the first time in school history the Braves have stood atop the state poll. “We've all been working as a team,” she said. “We've all been doing really well this season.
